Our travel is now booked!

An official commitment of sorts: the tickets are now in hand. We will fly from Bloomington on 10 Nov and arrive in Johannesburg on the 11th. Leon & Joan Shuker and Paul & Leonie Verster from the Jo'burg area have graciously offered to host us for two weeks--and will put us to work while we are there. On 24 Nov we will fly to Port Elizabeth, where Michael & Vanessa Floyd have promised to keep us busy for a week. Then on 1 Dec we will fly to Durban, where Tim Genders & Co. will help us settle into our work in the Bible Education Centre. And, no doubt, "other duties as assigned".

We are eager to get going...but have a few things to do yet to get ready, so guess it's a good thing that it's still almost 3 months away.

For the first time in quite awhile, we had all of our offspring together recently at the Great Lakes Bible School. From left to right, we are: Paul, Esther, Jane, Caleb, Andrew, and Isaac (our grandson).

We plan to use this blog as the journal of our experience in South Africa, which is due to begin in November. Right now, we're just learning about Blogger.
